Brabeeba Wang

Brabeeba is a joint PhD student in Nancy Lynch lab and Michael Halassa lab to develop a theory of thalamocortical computations in decision making. Brabeeba’s primary research interest is understanding the underlying principles behind cognitive functions such as decision making, memory and languages. Specifically, Brabeeba uses both biological observations and mathematical insights to develop a circuit theory that can explain the experimental findings and provides functional insights on different components of the circuit. Brabeeba received a B.A. in mathematics at Harvard focusing on algebraic topology and differential geometry. He aims to develop a dynamical theory on learning higher-order relationships using insights from topology and geometry. In his spare time, Brabeeba enjoys classical music. In fact, his name is a combination of his three musical heroes, Brahms, Beethoven and Bach. In addition to classical music, Brabeeba also enjoys karaoke, anime, running and poker.
