Lab Technician
Noah Redder
Noah joined the lab in 2023 as a research technician. Originally coming from a molecular bio lab, he has done well to transition into new responsibilities in behavioral research. With an initial focus on building electrical drives, he has become skilled at mouse surgery, photometry recording, behavior box building and more, supporting several major projects in the lab. Along with this, he also manages ordering and maintenance of lab equipment, 3D printing and lab scheduling.
He is interested in the effects of psychedelic therapy on cortico-striato-thalamocortical circuitry in mental disorders such as schizophrenia and PTSD.
Noah earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Neuroscience at the College of the Holy Cross, where he worked with Dr. Ryan Mruczek to investigate how manipulation of various facets of the Ebbinghaus illusion affects visual perception. In life outside of the lab, Noah enjoys playing in recreational sports leagues, live music and watching Formula 1.
